Employers

You could qualify for financial assistance if you are willing to help unemployed people by providing them with the opportunity to return to work. Please see below an outline of the various employment programmes we deliver.

Steps to Work

The Steps to Work programme has been developed to assist those who are unemployed or economically inactive to find and sustain employment through work placements and training. The work placements vary in length, 8 weeks and 26 weeks.

There is no cost to the employer/ placement provider, the client continues to receive their benefit plus an extra £15.38 a week.  The only stipulation is that the employer has public liability of £1million and Employers liability of £5million.

If you, as an employer, decide to employ a participant from the programme you may be eligible to receive an employer subsidy. Depending on the eligibility of the client this may be from £40 to £75 per week.

Network Personnel can help your organisation by:

  • Providing you with staff on an unpaid basis for the duration of a work placement.
  • Offering ongoing support and assistance to both employer and employee.
  • Reducing recruitment costs.
  • Meeting your corporate and social responsibilities.
  • Helping to create a diverse, healthy and inclusive workplace.

If you are interested in offering a placement/ employing someone via one of the above programmes or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact the appropriate programme coordinator;
